1GP is an online GP service based in South East Queensland, connecting patients across Australia with Ahpra-registered doctors through phone and video consultations. Our doctors can assess everyday health concerns, support you with long-term conditions and, where clinically appropriate, provide eScripts, medical certificates and referrals.
Telehealth GP care across Australia
Telehealth brings general practice care to you. Instead of travelling to a clinic and sitting in a waiting room, you speak with a doctor at the time you have booked, from home, from work or anywhere you have a private space.
It can make seeing a doctor much easier if you live in a regional or remote area, have limited transport or mobility, or are balancing work, study and caring responsibilities.
How 1GP works
- Book online. Choose a time that suits you and select a phone or video consultation.
- Share a few details. Complete a short health intake so your doctor can prepare.
- Speak with your doctor. Talk through your concerns by phone or video at your scheduled time.
- Receive your care. If a prescription, medical certificate or referral is clinically appropriate, it is sent to your phone or email.

- Medical certificates: for work, study or carer’s leave, following an assessment of your circumstances.
- Pathology and radiology referrals: for blood tests and imaging when you need them.
- Specialist referrals: referral letters when your health needs specialist care.
- Chronic disease management: ongoing review for long-term conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma.
What to expect from 1GP
- A real conversation with a doctor. Your consultation is a real-time phone or video conversation with an Ahpra-registered doctor, who will ask about your health and talk through your options with you.
- Honest clinical advice. Prescriptions, medical certificates and referrals are issued at your doctor’s clinical discretion and cannot be guaranteed before your consultation. Your doctor will explain their decision either way.
- Clear limits. Telehealth is not suitable for every health concern. If you need a physical examination or in-person care, your doctor will tell you and recommend where to go.
- Connected care. With your consent, your doctor can share information from your consultation with your regular GP or other health professionals involved in your care.
- Your privacy is protected. Your health information is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Read our Privacy Policy.

1GP consultations are provided by Ahpra-registered doctors: Dr Rajesh Elanchezhian, Dr Ines Fernandes and Dr Manon Le Gentil. Between them, they speak English, Tamil, Spanish, Portuguese and French. You can check any doctor’s registration on the public register of practitioners at ahpra.gov.au.
